Sophie's Story
In 1992 , my Newfoundland Dog had a severe adverse reaction to a vaccine. As a result her digestion failed. The medication the veterinarian put her on then shut down her bone marrow and she died a painful death. Sophie did not make it to her second birthday.
If I were the sort of person to have regrets, the ones I would have would be not listening to my intuition first about injecting Sophie with vaccines and then giving her the medication that put the final nails in her coffin. I did not follow that I knew to be true in my heart and instead handed over the decision making for my dog’s health to someone else.
The truth is that I have no regrets as I understand the spiritual lesson that had to be learned about following my own truth no matter what others may think or say. All my life , until Sophie came along , I walked away from my abilities as a clairvoyant. I did not want to stand out or be different or noticed in any way. The consequence of that action was to live a life that was not authentically me and ultimately I was not prepared to make decisions for Sophie or for myself that would have presented a different outcome.
Sophie came into my life to walk with me for a short time to show me what joy is. Then in the greatest act of unconditional love she gave her life to put me on the path I am walking now - that of The Artist, The Healer, and The Seer. At some point in their lives, all healers are wounded. It is what they do with that wound and how they mend that wound that will determine their true path.
I have a degree in writing and literature from Emerson College in Boston which is now serving me well as I finish my first book which is an autobiography of my life with animals. I also work as an artist creating jewelry designs and a line of hand painted dog collars and leashes that are sold internationally. For the last fifteen years I have been a serious student of holistic means of healing from homeopathy to herbs to whole foods.
My greatest joy in life is working as a psychic medium and animal communicator. My cases range from lost dogs to understanding the underlying issues of behavior problems in children and pets to nutrition advising and utilizing my abilities as a medical intuitive. I have talked to grandmothers, mothers and pets on the other side and helped people understand what their adopted pets had been through before coming to their new homes. Every case is different and usually a combination of communication, mediumship and clairvoyance.
My goal over the years has been to learn to use my abilities to their fullest extent, to grow and change with them and to thank the universe for giving me this opportunity to serve. I am eternally grateful to Sophie for showing me the way. I do not regret her death. It is but a measure by which I live my life.
